Nobu at Crown Review

Hey everyone,

Hopefully you all enjoyed your week and as for me I am officially on summer holidays!! thankfully.
Stay tuned for more posts, I am really excited to be blogging more often than not. And lastly, a huge hug to everyone who viewed my previous post xoxox

So... just recently I went to Nobo at Crown and I had heard so many great things about it; and it is a regular stop for the Kardashians, what's not to love?
And also... Oprah went to the Perth Nobu that night!

The menu had quite a variety of dishes that sounded very fancy you can view the full menu here

This is a guide to Nobo - specially made for those who don't really enjoy raw things...

I ordered:
Bento Box - Classic $45 this included

  • Sashimi salad
  • Chef’s choice sushi
  • Sauteed vegetables in spicy garlic sauce with rice
  • Prawn tempura in creamy spicy sauce
  • Chicken Teriyaki
  • Miso Soup
The highlight of this dish was definitely the sauteed vegetables, they were surprisingly nice. For people who aren't vegetarian, like me, I wouldn't usually choose to order something only consisting of vegetables but I loved it so much - 5 stars!
The chicken teriyaki was very fresh and you could tell that the chicken was good quality(?). I don't know if that's a valid way to describe chicken but it was definitely freshly made to order. Another positive review.

Edamame $7
This was served warm with sea salt. Yes, the price is high but it could easily be shared amongst three or four people. Very nice appetiser.

Salt and Pepper Squid $19
This dish was yummy, but it didn't necessarily stand out to me. But to share with others, it was very flavoursome and tasty. It could probably use some extra lemon to add some flavour differentiation.

And for dessert.... my favourite part <333

Bento Box $18
Chocolate Fondant and Green Tea Ice Cream
- a lovely combination! Nothing but good things to say about this dessert. The ice-cream was very creamy and the chocolate fondant was warm and filled with chocolate sauce <3

Chocolate Garden $18
Dark Chocolate Soil, Wasabi and White Chocolate Moss with Hazelnut Ganache, Marshmallows, Caramel Snow and Dark Chocolate Ice Cream.
This dessert sounds very extravagant but was surprisingly not so lavish in person. It was very, very delicious and I preferred it out of the two desserts we ordered. The chocolate ice-cream was the highlight for me, but very rich, but very nice. Don't be thrown off by the "wasabi" it only adds colour, no "spicy-ness" was transferred through!!

Overall verdict:
I would 100% recommend trying Nobu next time you visit Crown Perth. It was a really enjoyable experience and the service was on point! Despite the high prices, it is definitely worth the save up and a very nice way to treat yourself to a lovely meal.

---- Hope you guys enjoyed this review, I really enjoyed taking pictures of everything there and writing this up x Please keep updated on Instagram too

Lots of love

Pixel Coffee Brewers, Leederville

Hi Everyone,

Hope that you have enjoyed your week, the holidays are fast approaching! I also just wanted to quickly apologise for my inactivity over the past few weeks as I had exams but now that they are over I have much more time to blog, so expect more posts. xxx

Cakes and Sweets *heart eye emoji*
Today I am sharing with you one of my favourite cafes in Perth:
Pixel Coffee Brewers
2/226 Oxford St, Leederville WA

This little cafe is just outside the main eatery area
in Leederville and it definitely deserves more attention. Although it is very small inside, every time I have been it has been extra busy - however securing a table is very much worth the wait. The decor is so cute and I love the way they incorporated a soft, mint blue into the tilings.

The food is made fresh to order and the menu features a variety of breakfast/brunch meals which are great to share.

The coffee is also very nice, not too bitter and has a smooth, rich taste. The hot chocolate is a 10.
They also sell Boxed Water - a very popular and Instagram necessity for any flat lay. They also have a wide selection of teas that I am yet to try as I am a tea lover myself.

The cakes are made fresh daily and they are regularly changing them up, but I guarantee that there will be a slice perfect for your taste buds. Pictures to the right is a basil icing chocolate mud cake. Yes, this is a confusing combination but I promise that it is worth the try.

The service is fantastic and there is nothing that I can possibly fault them on. They are friendly and are very attentive to tables - filling up the water and efficiently clearing plates.

My Top Pick:
The Avocado Smash 4.5 stars
2 x pieces of sourdough (multiG), avocado spread on both slices. Topped with creamy feta, poached eggs, parsley and mint. There are also a few pumpkin seeds around the outside for a bit of texture.

The plates are also very, very cute. I adore the little flowers and detailings on the sweets.

I would highly recommend Pixel Brewers for your brunch date. The food is tasty and aesthetically pleasing... Definitely worth your visit.

Lots of Love,
Anna xoxo

PS. Thank you to everyone who reads my blog, it means a lot to me <3 hugs

The Flower Run & Top Dup Donut

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed your week, I am definitely ready for the weekend!! I will be going out to a couple of new places, and I will fill you guys in (and mAyBE turn on my location...) This week I found this really cute Instagram page called

It sells lovely, unique bunches from Monday through to Friday and they same day deliver them to your door if you place your order prior to 1pm that afternoon. And the coolest thing is, that you can buy extra add-ons to your bunch like candles, chocolate.... and on Wednesdays they combine with Top Dup and you can order one of their donuts to come with. So I had seen those donuts featured on a couple of my favorite I accounts and I needed to see what the rave is about. #humpdaydonuts

"Inject more brightness into your day with a whimsical bunch of beautiful blooms from The Flower Run. Each day we choose the most beautiful fresh flowers we can find. Jump online, order a bunch, and we’ll do the rest! For the season’s best WA flowers carefully selected, artfully arranged, and delivered to the door, you can’t go past The Flower Run."

My favourite thing about The Flower Run is that it is a local business and the ladies there are so nice and friendly. The bunches are so carefully put together and they are different every day. I am very impressed with how the business donates $1 from every bunch sold to a charity, that's a nice touch. I would 100% recommend ordering from these guys if you are considering sending someone flowers for any reason or occasion. The price ranges from around thirty to one hundred dollars, and I think it is worth every dollar. They are so personal and the small bunch is actually a very decent size as well.

The TopDup donut "topped" it off. Although you don't get to choose the flavour the: Glazed Donut, Dulce de Leche glaze with Chocolate & Peanut Soil was delicious- you need to taste it for yourself to believe how amazing they really are; completely better than a Krispy Kreme. For personal order: georgia@topdup.com

I hope you guys check these out, I highly recommend.

With love,

Mid Month Favourites

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have had a lovely weekend, I am not looking forward to school tomorrow :((((((((((((((((

Thank you to everyone who viewed my Lush Haul, it really meant a lot to me xoxo

In this post I am going to share a couple of things I have enjoyed throughout this month. My birthday is on the 30th so I will keep you all updated on any new products that I try out.

Also, I just wanted to state that everything in the picture to your right was bought with my own money that I work very hard for. And my intention is not to brag, but to share my love of fashion and beauty with you all x

Firstly, the Nars lip pencil pack is my favourite Nars package release ever! The box which the three colours come in is absolutely beautiful. I love the colours on the front and it is made out of glass. Inside comes a decent sized mirror and a one-hole sharpener. The three colours (pictured on the left) are practical, warm shades perfect for every day. They are unlike the original Nars pencils as they are not matte; they give more of a creamy to satin finish. The three pencils come to a total of around $70AUD which is great value for three shades. What I like most about the Nars lip pencils is that you can skip the lip liner step as the Nars Lip Pencil creates a smooth lining, making over-drawn lips a possibility too.

The "All Black" watch from The Fifth's Melbourne Minimal collection is something that I have had my eye on for a couple of months now. I love this brand because I think that the concept of the whole brand is very cute, they are obviously obsessed with the number 5 so... these watches are only on sale for 5 days from the 5th of every month. If you miss out you need to wait until the next month, this makes owners feel more a bit more "exclusive"ahaha. I found this label through Instagram and I knew I needed one in my life - they have two ranges atm: New York Classic and Melbourne Minimal. If you are interested in buying one of these watches I would highly suggest becoming a VIP (it's free) to make sure you get one before the general public - yes they do sell out. Also, just to add, the watches are also very affordable (mine was $139) and shipping within Australia is free. So far, I am overly impressed by the brand - it's so beautiful and "timeless"

I have recently rediscovered the Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I love the coverage, it is medium and leaves my face looking radiant but not too dewy because sometimes that gets confused with oil! I prefer to work this in with my hands but if you prefer to use a sponge or a brush, they work well too. It is a very light and versatile foundation with a large range of complexion colours to match all skins colours. This foundation has always been a favourite of mine. I am currently wearing the colour Barcelona. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a pump, that costs extra :'(

And lastly my little crossbody Coach bag, I am IN LOVE. Prior to buying this bag I had my heart completely set on the Michael Kors Sutton bag in black, the small size. Unfortunately because Perth has limited everything, we did not stock this make in store. But as soon as I saw this bag I knew that this was the one for me. It is soft leather, has an adjustable strap and also comes with an extra little "pencil case" bag inside as well. The reason why I like this bag more than the MK is because it is unique, different from a lot of people. It is very simple and practical and is not too attention seeking. It is also smaller and embodies minimalism; giving off a more youthful look. I am so excited to start wearing it out more often. I love it soo much :').

I hope you all have a lovely week and thank you to everyone who reads my posts. Sorry this was so long, ahaha I am just so passionate about my favourite products and couldn't wait to share them with you all

Lots of love

Anna xoxo

Lush Haul

Lush Goodies + Myself :)

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend...

I just wanted to say a quick thank you for everyone who has viewed this page, in total my first two posts have had just over 400 views x I love you all sooo much.

I thought I would share a typical "beauty guru" haul with you guys. It became apparent to me just recently that I missed out on the Lush Halloween collection, so I thought I would get in early to stock up on some Christmas scents.

I bought:

A gift box called "Little Snow Fairy Gift" (for myself, and maybe to share with my sister haha) and it contains the ICONIC Snow Fairy bath gel which is my ultimate favourite Lush product, I need to go back to stock up for the year, as it is limited edition... it smells identical to bubblegum and red lollies. To compliment the shower gel, the box came with the pink FUN "play-doh". I have never used any of the FUN products but I'm keen to try; a very fun incentive.

Snowcake Soap, this soap bar smells very Lush-cious! It is very rich and is topped with gold glitter (hopefully that transfers onto me in the shower)! The design is very cute and it is a very nice Christmas accessory for your bathroom. It is currently already out of stock online, but keep checking in store as more should be arriving shortly

Pheonix Rising Bath Bomb is one of Lush’s patented double layer bath bombs and it composed of gentle shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil - which will leave your skin feeling smooth and lovely. Although, I am one of those unlucky people without a bath!! I give this away to one of my friends and hopefully they enjoy it more than I can. But it is very beautiful and the gold glitter adds a lovely touch. "insert heart eye emoji"

Sandstone and Ice Blue Soap Combo. This isn't from the Christmas collection, but it was something that I have never seen in store before and I was very keen to try. I love fresh ocean scents and the combination of the exfoliating blue soap and the sandstone bar is a perfectly paired duo. These soaps also contain litsea cubeba oil which will leave your skin very smooth.

Flora and Fauna Perth

Flora and Fauna Cafe Review

I went to visit this lovely, hidden cafe located in the outer streets of Northbridge and I was extremely pleased with the experience.

The cafe is hidden away in a little land, about a fifteen-minute walk from the heart of Murray Street in the City.

When we arrived we were greeted with the lovely plants and cute little tables outside the front. Although the inside is small, there is a lovely bench along the window (perfect lighting there) overlooking the artistic paintings outside. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it topped off our first impressions quite lovely.

The menu offered a variety of healthy meals and the glass fridge displayed many photogenic (and highly likely, delicious) desserts and wraps also.

We opted to order the banana bread with Nutella and fruit salad on the side (left), a salted caramel lamington (top right) and a lovely cupcake with pink frosting (bottom right). Every piece of food on those plates did not fail to disappoint - with the total coming to around 24 dollars, which is pretty affordable to share amongst three these days. The lady also offered us some tap water and was presented nicely with a mint leaf inside as well.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Flora and Fauna and we can confidently say that it is our favourite breakfast / brunch places in Perth. It is a five out of five without a doubt.

It is definitely a place to take your Instagram obsessed, healthy, indie friends out for an outing.

Hope you guys try it out!

Lots of Love

Anna xoxo <3
